January’s Very Bizarre Holidays

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

It’s Serina Sticker here. With all the December Holidays over, and having well and truly rung the New Year in, you’d think we’d have better things to talk about than more holidays.

You’d be wrong.

The list of bizarre January hols is just to good to pass up. For instance, there is:

January 3 – Festival of Sleep Day. As far as I’m concerned, it couldn’t come at a better time.

January 6 – Cuddle up Day, great time to snuggle with someone you love!

January 8 – Bubble Bath Day! Don’t forget the candles, a great beverage, and your rubber duckie!

I’m sensing a theme here. For the first week or two of January we need to pamper ourselves, and enjoy the simple pleasures and people we love.

Happy 2012!

And The Next Three Resolutions!

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

Serina here, Pam asked me to report on the next three resolutions.

Number 4 of the top ten New Years Eve resolutions is: to quit smoking. Tough one, this.
Number 3: Loosing weight,
Number 2: Excersising more and getting fit.

So, these three are all about taking care of yourself. The hints are to set reasonable goals, and approach everything at a slow and steady pace versus going all out and burning out!

5 Days to Christmas!

Creative Use For Sticky Name Tags #4

Friday, December 9th, 2011

Serina here, back with another idea. Actually a couple of them…besides marking pots and pans, coats, and books, you can use the sticky name tags for:

* Address labels
* Gift Tags
* Lunch Bags
* To label plastic boxes when you orgainize your closets!

Creative Use For Sticky Name Tags #2

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

Serina Sticker back again…Got another use for those left over name tags…

Why not use them to maintain your book, DVD, or CD collection? You can write your name on the tags and stick them inside book covers, on the inside or outside of CD and DVD cases, and this way if you lend them out the borrowers will remember who lent it to them in the first place and you might get that bestseller back.

Creative Use For Sticky Name Tags #1

Monday, December 5th, 2011

Serina Sticker here with a creative idea or two for what you can do with those sheets of “Hello My Name IS_____” stickers no one wants to put on their clothing….You know since Pam Plastic, Ed Secutive, and Roger Reusable are so stylish, those cheap sticky things are just being thrown away. But my creative mind has come up with a few thoughts.

Here is the first one:
Use them to keep track of coats at a party. This is easy and will make clearing out the place at the end of the night quick and easy. When a guest arrives, jot the person’s name on a tag and attach it to his or her coat. Then, as people leave, you can quickly retrieve the right black wool peacoat from among the hoard!

All bumpered out!

Friday, November 11th, 2011

Hey Billy, I thought I saw you!!! Yes, that was me, gracing the backsides of many vehicles. In case there is any question…bumper stickers are in. Whether you want to save the bees, give the nod to your favourite political party…or some other gesture…I’m your girl!

And of course, Billy’s Buttons are another great way to make a statement.

Button or Sticker Cranes For Peace

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

Oh, Billy! Origami cranes sound great! Or sticker cranes for schools who want to award those students who went through the day peacefully, or little buttons with cranes would be fantastic! What a way to show our support!

Frankenstein’s Friday is Coming!

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Geez, Larry…Christmas already? There are so many more great things to look forward to. Like you know…the last Friday in October which is Frankenstein Friday. We can all go green, then grunt and shuffle off into the night to celebrate the birth of Frankenstein.

“The companions of our childhood always possess a certain power over our minds which hardly any later friend can obtain.” From Mary Shelley’s – Frankenstein
